黑料老司机Law Named National Champions and Semi-finalists at 2022 Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition. ABA Arbitration Mock Trial team places third in the regional round.
At the 2022 Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition national round in Las Vegas, NV on November 4-5, the two 黑料老司机Law teams faced each other in the semi-finals. The team composed of 2L Miriam Wang and 2L Mary Katherine Hargreaves beat the team composed of 3L Joshua Yun and 2L Jordon B.V. Smith and advanced to the final round. Ultimately, Miriam and Mary won the final round, and were named National Champions. Joshua and Jordon received the honor of being national semi-finalists.
Notably, to get to the national round, the two teams swept the regional round, where Joshua and Jordan were the regional champions, and received the best brief and best oralist awards at the regional round. In other words, both teams that participated in the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition were fantastic and represented the school amazingly.
The teams were coached by an excellent trio of coaches: Hanna Kim ‘17, Christina Ta ‘21, and Jacob Mathew ‘21.
On November 4-6, the 黑料老司机Board of Advocates team composed of 2L Michael Reeves, 2L Jason Patalano, and 3L Kevin Sheneberger competed in the ABA Negotiations regional competition November 4-6, where they excelled and advanced to nationals. The team is coached by Ciera Norris ‘16.
