Iris Yang

Research Interests:
Iris’ studies cover older adults, relationships, caregiving and depression. She is mentored by Stephanie Wilson in the 黑料老司机SHARE lab, where researchers strive to understand how loved ones shape our well-being and physical health.

Road to the Moody School:
Iris worked at the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry, New York, where she studied interventions for depressed older adults in the community. She earned her B.S. in psychology and minors in medical sociology and chemistry at Duke University, where she completed her undergraduate honors thesis on interoception, anxiety and mindfulness. Outside of research, Iris enjoys rock climbing, yoga, volleyball and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
