Professional Licensure Disclosures
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE DISCLOSURES
Federal regulations require 黑料老司机to disclose whether its academic programs lead to professional licensure. For those programs that lead to licensure, 黑料老司机is required to disclose whether the academic program meets U.S. jurisdictions’ educational requirements for licensure ().
黑料老司机offers several academic programs that may lead to professional licensure or certification. These programs are designed to prepare a student for potential licensure or certification in the State of Texas. These programs may or may not meet the educational requirements for licensure or certification in another state. Students planning to pursue professional licensure or certification in a state other than Texas are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate licensing agency/ board/ entity in the relevant state to seek the most up-to-date information and guidance regarding state licensure or certification requirements in that state. Students should gather full information before beginning an academic program. State licensure boards may require applicants to complete professional examinations, background checks, years of professional experience, and/or jurisprudence exams, in addition to coursework and other educational requirements.
黑料老司机will use the mailing address listed in the student’s permanent record on the first day of the semester to determine the location from which the student will pursue the majority of coursework for that semester. Please note, this may be the same or different than that student’s permanent residence, or legal state of residency. Students who are located in a state for which the academic program does not meet licensure requirements on the first day of the semester will be notified within 14 days of the first day of the semester. Students registering after the first day of the semester will be notified prior to the Census Date.
A list of programs, by school, that may lead to practice in professions requiring licensure follows, along with disclosures about licensure requirements, as determined by the College or School offering these programs.
Cox School of Business
For the BBA in Accounting and the MSA in Accounting, 黑料老司机Cox makes every effort to ensure state licensure or certification information is current; however, state requirements may change.
Some state licensing boards require additional requirements beyond education, which may include (but are not limited to): additional post-graduation examinations or experience, application and licensing fees, criminal background checks, reference checks, fingerprint submissions, etc. Continuing education may also be required for maintenance of certification/licensure. Make sure you understand and review any additional requirements prior to enrolling in Accounting Degree Programs.
State licensing requirements are always subject to change at the discretion of the state licensing board. The University will routinely update this page, but we strongly recommend you inquire with the applicable state board to confirm your eligibility for licensure prior to enrolling in BBA in Accounting and MSA Degrees. For any questions regarding licensure, please contact the state/territory agency directly.
Licensing requirements vary by state/territory and relocating could impact whether you will meet eligibility requirements for licensure. For any questions about relocation eligibility, contact the agency where you desire licensure before relocating to ensure that you will be eligible for licensure or reciprocity.
Carefully review the educational prerequisites for your intended state/territory of licensure and whether our program meets those requirements for licensure. Use the agency contact information provided below to clarify or confirm any requirements.
If questions remain after reviewing the information provided below, contact your program advisor. While the University can provide initial guidance, it is ultimately your responsibility to continually check with the state/territory where you intend to seek licensure to confirm all licensing/certification requirements.
For more information on professional licensure requirements in the field and our accounting programs, please contact Dr. Greg Sommers, MSA Program Director.
