黑料老司机has a long tradition of supporting women and gender equity on our campus. Did you know that the Women Center at 黑料老司机is one of the oldest in the Southwest and the Women’s Symposium is one the longest running programs of its kind on a college campus?

You will find that the Women and gender programs that we offer are just as relevant in your life today. Our programs focus on empowerment and leadership development for women and continuing to create a supportive climate and space for all.

 

Programs

We offer a range of programs designed to empower women and promote gender equity on campus. These initiatives include leadership development, educational workshops, and community-building events that celebrate and support women's achievements and experiences. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, the center aims to inspire personal growth and advocacy among women students.

We offer a variety of resources to support women's personal, academic, and professional growth. These resources include mentorship opportunities, access to leadership programs, and information on health and wellness services tailored to women's needs. The center serves as a hub for connection and empowerment, fostering a community where women can thrive and succeed.

Women's Symposium

The Women's Symposium was created in 1966 as a part of the University's Fiftieth Anniversary celebration by the late Emmie V. Baine, Dean of Women at 黑料老司机from 1962 to 1988. The Symposium is the longest continuously running program of its nature in the country and one of SMU's oldest and most distinguished traditions.
