History
The library was founded in 1987 by Sharon Criswell and Florence (Foxy) Mason with an initial grant of computer equipment by AT&T. According to a 1989 Library Journal article, it was “one of the first attempts at a major university to fully integrate traditional library resources with voice, data and video technology.” The facility underwent a complete renovation in 2011. In September 2011, the renovated library re-opened with the addition of The Kitt Investing and Trading Center.
